Tarot - Daily Draw + Husbands Boo Boo

Today's card, The Emperor is from The Ancestral Tarot by Julia Cuccia-Watts, copyright 1995, still in print I think. My personal copy of this deck is a inheritance from the estate a old Tarot buddy, so has personal connection. It shuffles like a dream, very important. Just starting to get to know it better or know it

The Emperor could be speaking to me about my husband who cut himself on his bandsaw a couple of days ago. Insane trip to the ER with a small artery spurting blood and him exerting lots of pressure. Some stitches later and bulky bandage and he is ready to go. He heals easily and is doing well, plus the cut gives him a Frankensteinian look, perfect for the season.

So, the Emperor is telling me that I may need to step into the role of the Emperor in this house since the hubs is on injured reserve. That's easy enough; he doesn't do much. I am reminded that I have the ability to do what needs to be done, and to know when to do it. ( just in case I was wondering). I am not fond of sine if tge patriarchial arechetypes in Tarot, so have a hard time thinking of positive attributes for this guy. Thinking of him as a good organizer, and sticking to a plan I feel better about him.

Since I don't feel strongly about the Emperor's role here, I'm going to draw another card and oh, how lovely, the 2 of Cups, the card of lovers and good feeling emotions. A nice balance to the Emperor and an energy that can keep that dude under control, sitting there quietly on his throne.

Going outside to find some green tomatoes and fry them for the kids later. Have a great day y'all.
