Things are Happening

Progress on the latest mosaic. Concerned that I may run out of the white and couldn't find more at Goodwill yesterday. I'll figure out something.

Rain last night washed away the snow, very glad to see it gone. Hoping the rain has stopped and the boxes of holiday decorations can be toted in. Next weekend the tree goes up.

My granddaughter met her father for the very first time. She has wanted to have this meeting since she was a child and it happened at last in a purely serendipitous way. There are plans made for future meetings. Time will tell. He is not reliable. The resemblance is striking. I think she is mature enough to handle any disappointment and her mom is doing ok with it all.

Christmas shopping nearly complete. I am way ahead of schedule, got started and couldn't stop. The task now is to cease buying.

The stack of dishcloths is growing.

Just started reading "The Witch Elm" by Tana French.

That's enough for now.

Hope it works out well for your granddaughter.

I had a similar situation with my father.

I hope it turns out well. And I hope your experience was in some way positive.

"My granddaughter met her father for the very first time." OMG, that is momentous! And, you're right, the resemblance is remarkable! Truly wishing the best for everyone in this, especially your dear granddaughter...

It's certainly a big topic of conversation around here. They are having dinner together tomorrow. Erin is going too. I think it will be awkward to say the least. All good vibes appreciated.

Finding useful stuff at the Goodwill--even if you have four of them within easy reach of your house the way I do--can be hard to do.
I really hope your grand-daughter's dad will do his best to be there and on time for their dinner together.

It was a madhouse in there lol, guess folks were Christmas shopping. Never saw it so busy.

Fingers crossed on derelict dad.

The father and daughter are looking fantastic together? If it is not a secret, what is the problem with father making you concerned?

Just concerned that he will disappoint her and not show up.

If you run out of white, just smash a plate. Hehe, I should't encourage you :P

I'm happy for your granddaughter that she finally met her father but I hope he doesn't let her down.

Wish I had thought of your idea of making wash cloths! Never mind, I'll have to think up my own ideas :P

I think I've got a plate that will work, colored on the front, but white on the back. Now have to find it lol

He's not a mean man, but so irresponsible, has kids scattered all over this country and has never been around for any of them. She also wants to meet her brothers and sister and has made contact with some online.

Darned if I haven't made my arm sore ftom knitting, just started #7.

Great! I know you would have to find on of the right thickness etc. It would be much easier to just find on in an op shop, wouldn't it?

Sounds like that man should have had a vasectomy some time ago! I hope all goes well with your granddaughter meeting her siblings.

Maybe you could massage you arm with some lavender oil etc. It's very hard to stop once on a roll, isn't it?

Short post, but so full! They really do look alike and I hope they are able to have some sort of happy relationship. I love those dish cloths.

Waiting to see how lunch went for them today, fingers crossed.

The dishcloths are so easy, cost maybe $1 to make and everybody in the famiy loves them. If you ever want the pattern can send link.
