Woke up this morning to at least three maybe more inches of snow, oh my. A wee bit too early for it though it is beautiful. It is a very wet snow dragging down the tree branches and hanging off of power lines. Might get some more this afternoon.

Going out to lunch with oldest daughter and granddaughter so guess I need to get busy finding my snow boots, where did I put them?

Oh and yesterday I did practice with the uke and the piano and found out just how stiff my stubby little fingers are, I can hardly stretch them out to reach a chord. Practice? Hope that helps.

Please forgive the crappy pics, no way I'm going to tramp around the yard to get better ones so took these from inside.

How strange that you have snow and I don't o_O
...it's surely on its way *lol*

And yes just keep on practicing! They'll loosen up.

I do hope so on the fingers. You would think they would be looser with all the knitting I do.

I love your icon btw

Yes--take it!

I do it like this: just drag the icon to your desktop :)

I'd been wondering if we were going to have an early winter this year...but no snow here yet.
Drat the luck--I've only just brought home my first truckload of bagged leaves.
(I use gobs of them to mulch with--last year I shanghai'd 15 truckloads.)

Wow a lot of leaves. You are industrious to gather so many. We have a lot in the yard because ofvthe many trees. Husband had grandkids lined up to start gathering them today..oops that's not happening. He tills them into the garden.

So, we are kind of neighbors, Indiana is not so far away. My uncle lived in Michigan City and I've been there several times.

Our land was heavily farmed so it needs all the organic material we can put into it. The leaves are free unlike the woodchip mulch.
I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever meet anyone on LJ that lived close to home.

Well here I am lol

We have lived here 41 years and while we did have goats, horses, and chickens years back, we have never farmed. But, the soil is clay and we have worked hard to make good dirt in the garden spots, though these days, most of our planting is done in raised beds.

We only have two acres. Whatever leaves I manage to acquire each fall gets put around our trees and our flowerbeds. Lots of leaves means a lot less weeding during the summer months.

I hope you enjoyed your lunch out with the girls today. (Sounded like a lot of fun to me!)
We're getting a bit of that white stuff this evening but no idea how much or little we'll get.

Wow! That is a lot more than we have.
Nov. 10th, 2018 12:51 pm (UTC)
Funny, one might expect the reverse. Been a few years since we've hsd November snow.

Great changes!
We had the snow for two days a week ago which has gave me a panic attack while I was seeking the instruments I left on the ground a day before but surprisingly we had plus eight temperatures weather after and day after tomorrow it will be again minus seven at nights for a week and snowless weather. Summer is not going to give up here this year - I will not be surprised to see this year the plus temperatures at New Year's Eve.

They say our winter will be a bad one, but who knows? We have had mild winters the last couple of years.

Wow, that's early!

At least you're going out with your daughter and granddaughter, so that will make the day nicer.

Yay for playing the ukelele and piano! Stretching the fingers is hard!
