I Did Want Rain

But I sure didn't want 20 minutes of nickel sized hail.

Pretty much wiped out all the greens, everything suffered damage.

The lettuce is just gone.

In time some things will heal, might even produce,

But right now I am sad.

Certainly can't control the weather, but hsve never seen this amount of destruction. I'll sure miss the food but it gives ne time to do other things.

Oh, no. So sorry about the garden. We occasionally have hail around here, but seldom anything that looks like that. Just aweful...

I hate it when this happens. I hope it wasn't too awful.

Oh, no! Just like me two years ago in late spring. I got piles of hail, damaged some plants but they recovered. Made some crops late. But was not a disaster. It looked like it had snowed! It damaged crops at the local organic farm, too. My friend, who lives down there said it sounded like a jet plane landing right beside her house. It also stripped the leaves off the trees at Old Flame's place.

Good to know your experience turned out well. I tend to be pessimistic and it all looked so bad at first that I was really dismayed, but things look better now. The life of a farmer is totally dependant on the weather for sure,

I'm glad your garden is reviving. Where I live, any rain is good rain, because we are a pretty hot place and so need the moisture. I was quite happy to see the hail piled up in my pots! The netting may have deflected a good deal of it, too, saving the plants, somewhat.
