And the Sun Did Shine

As night turned to day this morning it was soon evident that after what had seemed an eternity of rainy days and cloudy weather the skies were clear. The sun shone all day and is still warming the air and making the world green and cheerful. Ah, so fine.

A perfect display of rainbow colors painted the living room wall for a while before moving into the dining room and out of sight.

Temps reached 60 and I got in some yard work, raking away the leaves from one of the paths. Worked an hour this morning and another this afternoon. The husband removed the fallen tree saving the Colorado Blue Spruce from being crushed.

The spinach is in worse condition than I  had thought, but far from dead. Decided to let it grow and not try yet to cut off damaged leaves.

A couple of daffodils are blooming.

There are these

pretty little flowers blooming in the grasses, masses of them. I looked but couldn't find their name either online or in books. Once I knew what to call them, but that file has been deleted.

Surely do feel better in body, mind, and spirit after engaging with Nature.

I refuse to think about the snow predicted for Sunday.

I'm so glad you had a sunny day out in nature. It was cloudy and rainy here...I'm hopeful that Easter weekend will be sunny and warm. I could use a boost to my mood.

I really needed the boost, was getting quite tired and bored inside. Of course, today the clouds are back and lots of wind.

Wow, I had never seen an indoor rainbow before! :)

That plant looks like some kind of Veronica.

I don't think it is veronica, too short. Flowers are barely 1/8 inch across. I will have to do more research.

And the rainbow comes from a prism in an east window.

I know this. So well.

Sunshine makes everything better. We're having a typical English Bank Holiday weekend - endless, endless rain.

Yes sunshine does that. The sun does shine in England, yes?

I seem to remember seeing it, a month or two ago...

Seems your area is really showing signs of spring. Hope you have a lovely weekend before the predicted snow.
Hopefully you will not get that much.

The signs are everywhere. I think I am impatient this year. Don't think the snow will last long.

Ohhh woww the rainbow on the wall :> Great shot <3 I love when that happens on my grey kitty (Leela) as she basks in the sunbeams

I believe in your power to bring the spinach back to full vitality! Reiki some water or something as a treat for them :) I sing to my orchid everyday, and I talk to her like a friend (I seriously tell her about my day and stuff lol)

Very happy you're feeling revitalized by Nature--keep getting out there <3
(weather permitting of course...we have snow in the forecast as well bleh)

I have many crystals that make rainbows all over the house.

I talk to my plants and give them lots of love, but much appreciate the tip on Teiki for water.

Ohh I would love to see them sometime :)

And my pleasure--I love Reiki-ing water. I'm sure you know all about those water experiments where they look at the molecular structure of water that has been yelled at negatively and a second one that was given loving words everyday, and on the atomic level the first water looked like sewage, the second looked like beautiful crystalline snowflakes. There's something there :)
