T-Bird's Nest

Built by an extended family member when we were into communal living - mid 80's - and initially intended to be a sauna. Became living quarters with a pull down bed and other interesting features, my favorite being a wall surrounding the woodstove made of glass bottles. The wall collapsed last year and sadly I do not have a picture. The little house is well built and has stood the test of time. I like to use it as a getaway spot. And will again as soon as my kids remove the stuff I let them store there.

The walls are inscribed with verse and artwork left by many visitors, the repository of memories and loving moments.

Amazing. Ever think of writing the story of your life? You drop so many interesting tidbits here and there, I'd love to read your story start to finish <3 If you ever need a ghost writer I'm right here ;)

Sure I've thought of it, but that is a huge undertaking. There are some events I'm not sure I could share, but they are vital to my story.

Ghostwriter? I'm going to give that some thought darlin'

Of course! But that can remedied by changing some details and releasing it as fiction :)
Food for thought someday <3

Fascinating structure that tells a story.

As soon as it is emptied of your kids stuff you can fix it and guest it out again.

Honesly I thought about that. I don't think the electricity is connected anymore and there never were bathroom facilities though it would be nice to have someone knowledgeable enough to dig a composting toilet out there and be willing to live rough and help out on the farm another ways. There is an organization the name of which I have written down somewhere that put you in touch with college kids who will come in the summer and do that sort of thing. I am such a recluse that I've never been able to take that step and connect with someone else in that fashion.

It might be good to and to rehab the structure.

But...but...but - what's the story of the skeleton?

That is truly mundane lol I had hung him up out front as I do each year at Halloween. Then took him down to carry back to the shed where he lives and couldn't get in the door because the kids had stuffed the building full. Thus he has been suspended outside waiting to get back in. Until I went there to take the picture had forgotten he was there. Supposed to stop raining today and warm up, I'm thinking I could go find the missing leg and move him to the nearby bldg aka, the smurf hut.

This is a wonderful drawing and story of a building. Can I move in? :)

Sure. Needs work, offers solitude and good vibes :-)

You can feel the good vibes just from the drawing. What a fascinating place!

If the walls could talk, oh the tales they could tell.

Thanks, if it gets warm enough would like to try some inside shots if I can get around the kids stuff stored there.

Sounds like a neat little shed with a lot of history.

There are a lot of memories there.
