Bad Food

It is now a certainty that I will never pass through the doors of China Garden again. Nikki and I took Ingrid there to celebrate her 71st birthday. I was reluctant anyway, but persuaded by Nikki who in light of Ingrid's shaky mental state said, "It could be the last one she remembers."

By the time I got home was feeling not so good and soon thereafter spent two hours in the bathroom in hideous pain while my stomach rejected the offending food substances. Feeling subpar today, but no longer sick. Morning toast and tea received graciously by my oh so empty tummy.

So mark another off the already small list of places to eat nearby. I won't be going back.

Bleh--sorry that happened and hope you're feeling better now <3 Was it a buffet? I refuse to eat from buffets because I've been sick three different times from them and that's just where I draw the line

There is a buffet from which I ate one piece of chicken, everything else was from the hibachi. Chicken is notorious for easily going bad, must have been that.

Blech! Hope you're feeling back to yourself today <3

Oh yeah, much better today, thanks. How's that hangover.

It was hell lol I still feel crummy and we're almost Tuesday now

Oh, that's too bad. Did your friends get sick too? Restaurants can be so scary.

I haven't talked to my friends yet, but will soon. We did all eat different dishes. I rarely eat out because one can't know where they source their food.

Glad you're feeling better today. Food poisoning is no fun.

Thanks, quite the nasty experience for sure.

Oh dear, that must have been unpleasant. Hope you are feeling better.
Jan. 28th, 2018 12:38 pm (UTC)
Definitely better, thanks.

Oh, no. Did you let the restaurant know? they should be told it happened, just in case. I hope you are feeling better by now. *hugs*

I'm quite hesitant to get involved with the restaurant owners who are Chinese and not easy to deal with on any issue. And, I'm fine now. I have a lot of stomach issues so it could have been something other than the food I suppose.

Okay, that makes sense. I know I have to be careful at times.

Oh, no! So sorry to hear this but glad you're feeling at least a little better. Is this reportable to public health authorities, whoever does restaurant inspections, etc? If there's a pattern of reported illnesses, they should be able to do something to protect the public, right? Well, I know that's not your main concern, right now, nor is it mine. Sincerely hope you feel much better, and soon...

Don't know if it would do any good to report it so long after the fact. First step is to see if either of my friends became ill, but haven't felt like talking to them yet. For sure if they got sick, we'll do something. The town is small, officials uncaring. Over the years have had little luck in effecting change around here.

And I have recovered.

So glad to hear you're better, m'dear. But, gee, this kind of shakes my faith in the government institutions which, until this very moment, I was positive were vigilantly looking out for our well-being. And you feel the same, right? LOL...

Gosh, doesn't it though. LMAO @the government that really cares
