The Blue Meanies came and sat around and made me feel not so good, but as usual they got bored and went off to mess with someone else's head. Today was sunny and warm and I was able to finish thinning the beets.
The pots on the pool deck are now full of flowers and a few other pots are done.
I have started and then frogged the waistband for the sweater I am knitting 8, yes, 8 times. I have made it to row 16 this time and am taking a break for a while. Very complicated Celtic Knot cables.. grrr. Knitting has taught me patience, otherwise I would have put this project down a few days ago.
Erin found someone to pour her sidewalk. Happy about that.
Took some pictures around the garden. Have the most beautiful spinach ever, and the cabbage is lovely too. Some critter ate all the chard completely to the ground, it does seem to be coming out again, but just in case I planted some more in on of the raised beds.
The husband is planting corn right now, 3 short rows. Last year the raccoons ate all we had. This year he is putting it in one of the gardens closer to the house, maybe we'll fool those coons.
Daughters 2 & 4 with their teenage offspring are headed to Mexico next week on Monday. I do hope they have a great time.
My great nephew is fishing in the pond this evening. A couple of days ago he caught a couple, though I didn't see so don't know what they were, just fish.
The rain has been abundant and everything is intensely green and glowing with life right now. Every day I walk around and say hello to the plants. All of the houseplants are now outside, whew, that is quite a job. I may cut down on those again.
Have a few starts going in the garden shed and some succulents stuck in a glass of water. This is how I cut down ... LOL
I finished repainting the faded frog planter and now I don't know what to put in him.
I'm getting tired. The days are long even when they are beautiful.
