Over on FB they've got this thing going on where you name 10 concerts you've seen, 9 that you actually saw and one lie. I resisted for a while and then decided to go for it. Just doing that opened me up to remembering ALL the concerts that I've seen and make a list. I have a lot of ticket stubs, but not every one of them. Currently up to 104, not counting the 40+ Grateful Dead shows and others that I saw multiple times.
Very challenging to remember the bands. Some of them were more than 30 years ago and admittedly some of them I was in no shape to remember.
But, once again, the internet came to my rescue and I was able to search venues, set lists etc. and was quite excited to find a ticket to the Deep Purple concert I attended in 1973. The ticket price is unbelievable by today's standards.
Now trying to decide if I can legitimately include bands who appeared at festivals where I was present, but can't truly remember if I was down at the stage when they were on.
It's been a fun trip down memory lane.
