What to do?

I got totally excited last night about actually sitting down and beginning work on my own Tarot deck.  Over the years of my life I have saved a couple of large boxes of rock and roll memorabilia... things like my program from the 1975 Rolling Stones, "Tour of the Americas"... an insert from my Concert for Bangladesh album (album no longer present )  ... concert tickets, magazine articles... etc..

Last night this idea seemed really good to me, but now I am unsure if I can actually snip those old memories apart... but on the other hand maybe that's exactly what would benefit me the most...

As per usual, my brain tends to see all options.... nonetheless I am off to retrieve a box of stuff from the closet... and am suddenly reminded that I also have an old scrapbook from the 50's... might be some great images in there as well..

House Cleaning as Therapy

Today I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the dickens out of my kitchen floor LOL... even washed off the cabinets.. and felt so good when I was done that I felt the feeling needed to be celebrated and shared..  I appreciate that someone else has already blogged about this subject and so snagged the following, added one of my favorite graphics and ta da!!

Cleaning is Fun - and Pretty Darn Cheap, too

Hey all,

:) How are you guys doing today? I was sitting here drinking my cup of tea, and pondering what to talk about today on the blog. Then, an idea popped into me wee little mind -- cleaning is actually pretty decent therapy, PLUS it's cheap.

Not sure what I mean on either count? Well, if I'm feeling a bit frustrated with life, scrubbing the sink or toilet is actually quite a tension reliever. And - have you ever thought about how CHEAP it is to do all of your own cleaning using the Happy Slob's Housecleaning Methods? Basically, we rely on our own steam power (coffee induced, no doubt), and the rest is cheapo products like baking soda, vinegar and even literal steam! (Steam is one of my favorite tools for getting the shower clean - quicker and easier than using TOO much elbow grease, if you ask me.)

So, even though we happy slobs might not be entirely THRILLED all the time to clean, at least we know there are all sorts of benefits. And hey, tension release and saving a few bucks are pretty decent side benefits to a cleaner, more serene home.
