Sauerkraut

Today we cut the last cabbage in the garden. It weighed 5 lbs. And was firm and sweet. Decided to try our hands at sauerkraut. Didn't take long. Hubs thinks we have done this before, but I don't remember. I am hopeful for success. I love sauerkraut.

I appreciate Joe for squishing thcabbage to release the juices.

I appreciate that big ole cabbage.

I love living on this farm.

Summer has finally arrived, highs in the 90's for a few days at least, am a lei get into the pool on a regular basis.

Wow I'm smiling ;-)

We haven't tried to make sauerkraut, yet. Wow! Five pounds. Sounds like you're on your way to a good batch!

Our weather has leveled out, no rain but not too hot. Starting to see tiny squash and cucumbers. That's a start!

God Bless

Yum, sauerkraut.

My herbs have started to wilt and yellow from the heat. It didn't help being away and not being able to water them. I used a lot of my parsley today. Fingers crossed everything starts coming back or it will be time to put in new seeds.
