Oh. Tell me more!
I was looking at a small version of an elliptical "bike" the other, it fits under a desk. Since my right knee doesn't bend (I'm working on it), seemed like that might might be better than a conventional stationary bike. I looked around for advice, all I could find was "ask your doctor", but I don't see the surgeon until Halloween.

What did you buy and what are the pros and cons?

It's a Schwinn and we purchased it from Amazon a couple of years ago. Husband picked it out so it has more bells and whistles then I would have chosen. Programmable to create hilly rides, rides through the park etc. I do especially like that it is a recumbent bike and therefore easier on my back and I enjoy and use the built in fan when I get hot. The seat is a bit hard, but that's a personal issue as I have no butt for cushioning so sometimes use a pillow. It's rather large and the room is small. Wish it had something for working arms, but I can always use handweights. It keeps records of your rides though I never go back and check them. Also shows heart rate and calories burned, but I question the accuracy of those stats.

Cost $500 approx.  It's been really great for me since walking any distance is too painful. It doesn't get my heart rate up as much as I'd like for a good cardio workout,  but that is no doubt due to my taking a beta blocker and not the fault of the bike.

I have a great "real" bicycle but it makes my shoulders hurt to ride so it's sitting in the garage.
