I'm fairly new to essential oils. What are your favorites and when do you use them?

I have 2 diffusers which I keep going as long as I'm awake. In one I use frankincense because it has a lot of healing properties and is also good for anxiety, a biggie for me. In the other one I use a calming blend that my daughter bought me for Christmas. I do feel a difference in my mood since I've started using them and the house smells oh so nice.


I uee lavender in my bath water but haven't tried it in the diffusers yet. There's a ton of info out there on what fragrances to use for specific results.

Thanks. I only have one diffuser and I keep it in my bedroom. I have used lavender before bed. Mine has a 3 hour timer and I set it on shortly before I plan to go to sleep. I haven't decided if it has helped me sleep better or not. It's funny because I do tend to wake up about 2 hours after I fall asleep every night and I wonder if it is related to when the diffuser stops running.

I have a couple of oil blends. I forget their names but one is to help get the creative juices flowing and one is supposed to be calming. I've used them occasionally and like the scents but so far haven't noticed any change in mood. I just got some Frankincense because like you said it has healing properties and with cold season upon us I wanted to have it on hand.
